It's official, Marvel fans! After a grueling four-year wait, we now know which actor has been chosen to portray Adam Warlock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In case you missed it, it was announced last night that We're The Millers star and meme sensation Will Poulter will be playing the character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as confirmed by director James Gunn himself.

However, despite the excitement most fans of the billion-dollar franchise are feeling following the casting news, there are a lot of people who aren't too thrilled with the idea. In fact, some fans are in a state of bewilderment after learning that Poulter landed the role simply because to them, he doesn't look the part. Of course, comic book fans oftentimes demand accuracy and let's be real here, Will is probably the last person anyone would expect to be the live-action Adam Warlock.

Some fans are obviously underestimating Will's ability just because of his physical appearance which is kind of a shame because he's actually a brilliant actor in his own right. This is James Gunn we're talking about after all and if you've been following his MCU career since the beginning, you would know that whatever he's given, he can make it work.

The MCU's third Guardians of the Galaxy film is scheduled for release on May 5, 2023.
