Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: James Gunn Shares Adorable Rocket and Cosmo 'Deleted Scene'

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is still screening in theaters but James Gunn is already sharing some never-before-seen teases from the sequel. The director's latest tweet is an adorable "deleted scene" featuring Rocket Raccoon and Cosmo the Spacedog.

James Gunn had previously pointed out that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 does not have many deleted scenes. "This movie probably has the fewest deleted scenes because it was pretty tight," Gunn stated.

"I worked on this screenplay, for a lot of reasons, way longer than I worked on the other screenplays," he added. However, the "deleted scene" he shared on Twitter might be a different case.

James Gunn has posted a new video on his official Twitter account featuring a raccoon and a dog having fun in a pool. "Swim, Cosmo, swim! Deleted scene from #GotGVol3," Gunn wrote.

It's a cute and hilarious video but it doesn't actually feature Rocket and Cosmo. The video was originally uploaded by B&S, a fan account for animal lovers that shares adorable animal content submitted by other netizens.

Although this isn't a real deleted scene from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it's also a tease at what could possibly happen if Rocket and Cosmo decide to have a good time.

For now, James Gunn has not yet shared any (real) deleted scenes from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Perhaps fans will have to wait until the home release of the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 brings back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sylvester Stallone from the first and second Guardians films.

Maria Bakalova, who debuted as Cosmo the Spacedog in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, also returns in the sequel.

Chukwudi Iwuji and Will Poulter join the Vol. 3 cast as the High Evolutionary and Adam Warlock, respectively.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now screening in theaters worldwide.
