Grab a Goblet or Glass for Game of Thrones’ Wine Collection

If you've longed to experience the same kind of inebriation that Game of Thrones actors seem very privy to in several episodes, then you're in for a treat next year.

As if the show and the merchandise aren't enough, HBO has announced a license line of wines straight from the show. in partnership with Santa Rosa winery (Vintage Wine Estates). According to the official statement (via Entertainment Weekly) HBO is now looking to releases a red blend that's proprietary to the franchise, a Cabernet Sauvignon, and a chardonnay options for those who want to scheme their way in style.

"Any fan of Game of Thrones appreciates the role wine plays in the saga. We are very excited to partner with HBO to give those fans some delicious wines to sip as they plot their own paths to the Iron Throne."

According to HBO's Jeff Peters, the extension of the franchise to the wine category was a "natural extension" considering how many times, moments, and major milestones of the series we saw celebrated or marked with a drink in hand.

It would be nice to grab one, if only so we can toast to the victories that we hope Dany and her crew will finally have. It will also be the best thing to fight off the impending chill that the White Walkers will bring. Or if you're like me who likes things intricate, the wine's cover is just cool enough to keep.

The Game of Thrones wines will be released sometime in spring next year. it will be sold in 750ml bottles with the Game of Thrones chardonnay and red blend at $19.99 and the Sauvignon at $39.99.

Game of Thrones will be back on HBO for its seventh season sometime summer next year.
