There is little doubt that being a part of a comic book project is a dream come true for any actor. However, Misha Collins was initially uncertain about joining the cast of The CW's Gotham Knights where he would play the iconic Batman villain Two-Face. Interestingly, the Supernatural alum was worried that his children wouldn't want him to portray Harvey Dent in the upcoming DC series. But amazingly, it was his son who forced Collins to take the role.

Misha Collins was recently a guest on The Today Show where he opened up about being offered the part in Gotham Knights.

“When I was thinking about this role, the opportunity was great. Like this is an iconic Batman Universe character. I go from being District Attorney of Gotham to being one of the supervillains of the entire Batman universe,” Collins said before admitting his apprehension.

“I was like, ‘Yes I want to do this, but my kids are in Southern California, [and] the show is shooting on the East Coast.’ I was like, ‘Wait a minute, I can’t be away from my kids that much,’” he stated. Collins then confirmed that he discussed the new role with his children.

“So I was talking to my kids like, 'kids there’s this awesome role I really want to do, but I'm going to be away a lot. I’ll be playing Harvey Dent who becomes Two-Face.’ And my son was like, ‘Do it!’ ‘But wait, I'll be away a lot, I won't see you as much.’ He was like, ‘I don’t care, do it,’” he shared. Collins then joked that he thinks his son only wanted to spend some time away from him.

“I don’t know if he was just super excited about me playing Harvey Dent or if he just wanted to be away from me,” he said.

We're pretty sure that Misha Collins' son was excited to see his father play one of the most iconic Batman villains. With that in mind, we can't wait to see more of his performance on Gotham Knights.
