James Gunn Shares BTS of Himself Dancing as Baby Groot

If you follow your Marvel trivia, you'll know that director James Gunn had provided the dance movements for Baby Groot in the opening scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. What's funny is, that piece of trivia is getting a lot of new buzz, and Gunn has come out to Twitter to share a video of himself dancing along to Groot.

Check it out:

He also goes on to talk about the BTS process where they have Gunn dance in front of a set of cameras. The trivia going around said that he was wearing a mo-cap suit, but so far, it just seems like Gunn is wearing casual clothes for this bit; it's amazing how they managed to really track his movement though.

With Guardians of the Galaxy's emphasis on music, Mr. Blue Sky was a really fun way to bring us into the sequel. While some say that Vol.2 was a weak follow-up, I really love how they managed to make the emotional stakes a lot higher. You can only bet that the hype is going to be up for whatever Gunn has planned for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

No release date has been set for Guardians 3, but rumor has it that it could come out sometime in 2022. For fans of the Guardians though, it looks like we'll be seeing them onscreen next year with Thor: Love and Thunder hitting theaters Nov. 4, 2021.

As for Gunn's next movie, catch The Suicide Squad in theaters Aug. 6, 2021.
