GOT7 Jinyoung Says He Changed Years After His Debut + Reflects on His Life As He Nears 30s

GOT7 Jinyoung opened up about his personal and professional life.

Jinyoung first debuted as the one half of the duo JJ Project in May 2012. He and JB (now Jay B) re-debuted in the 7-member boy group, GOT7.

Meanwhile, he also marked his acting debut in Dream High 2 in 2012 before marking his first big screen project, A Stray Goat, in 2016.

As he continues to grow in the industry, the idol-turned-actor reflected on the changes he went through and what he feels excited about in the next years.

GOT7 Jinyoung Reflects on His Post-Debut Life

Ten years after his official debut, Jinyoung shared the changes he noticed about himself during his interview with Arena Homme Plus.

According to the K-pop idol, he grew well that he now feels less anxious than he did before. Although he always aims to do well, he always makes sure he will not start a new project if he feels uneasy and worried.

Jinyoung also disclosed that he continuously took a step forward after debuting with JJ Project. When he started his acting career, his 2015 My Love Eun Dong became the main driver of his passion for acting.

“I was sure of [my passion] while acting as Park Hyun Soo in 1995 in ‘My Love Eun Dong.’ It was my first time playing a character with an independent narrative. It was really fun,” he went on.

GOT7 Jinyoung on Growing Old

Jinyoung now waits for a few more years before reaching his 30s. The magazine asked him if he planted “good roots” in his 20s to have strong stems in his 30s, to which he said that he confidently grew his roots by surrounding himself with good people.

The decade also allowed him to meet people who inspired him in many ways.

While learning more lessons, he now challenges himself to portray more diverse characters in the future.

GOT7 Jinyoung currently stars in Yumi’s Cells 2, playing the role of Yoo Babi.
