Ed Westwick talks about if he'll return to play Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl Season 2.

Zuzanna Szadkowski, who played Dorota Kishlovsky in the HBO Max sequel, was one of many Gossip Girl performers that returned to their roles. Wallace Shawn and Margaret Colin, who play the roles of Blair's mother and stepfather, are also back.

In Gossip Girl Season 2, Michelle Trachtenberg will reprise her role as Georgina Sparks, carrying on that tradition. Fans have persisted in speculating that more well-known characters, particularly those from the core cast of Serena, Blair, Dan, Nate, Vanessa, and Chuck, would make a reappearance.

Will We Ever See Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl Season 2?

Westwick was questioned about appearing as Chuck in Gossip Girl Season 2 in an interview with the Daily Mail. The actor expressed his openness to the idea and his opinion that it would be "cool." as he thought about the legacy of the original.

'I wouldn't say no. It would be cool!” he said. “I don't know if that's a direction they could go in though!”

HBO Max's revival of Gossip Girl aired late last year, based on the teen drama of the same name, which was based on the books by Cecily von Ziegesar. It takes place over a decade after the previous series' finale, focusing on a new group of Manhattan private schoolchildren who are under the watchful eye of the titular blogger.

Despite receiving mixed reviews for taking the property on a new path, the remake maintains strong ties to the original series.

How Would Chuck Bass Fit On Gossip Girl Season 2?

The Gossip Girl revival doesn't waste any time in making fun of Chuck's connection with Blair and discussing how a character like him would be perceived now. Serena and Jenny, the younger sister of Dan, are both sexually assaulted by Chuck in the premiere episode. The television show would try to confront Chuck's predatory actions.

However, from a particular perspective, he gets basically pardoned without actually altering his behavior. If anything, he leans into those bad instincts, which results in some of the most contentious scenes in the program. The relaunch would probably take great care to show that he has changed for the better. Even if that alone is a plus, it highlights a problem the resurgence has encountered.
