Girls’ Generation Sooyoung has an epic comeback at her former agency before the girl group’s official return.
Following Girls’ Generation’s 10th anniversary in 2017, they announced that three of their members – Tiffany, Seohyun, and Sooyoung – decided not to renew their contracts with SM Entertainment.
Meanwhile remaining five members – Taeyeon, YoonA, Yuri, Hyoyeon, and Sunny – extended their contracts and continuously promoted under the agency in the past years.
Although it happened, SM Entertainment representative confirmed that the girl group was not disbanding. After being on a hiatus since then, Girls’ Generation finally disclosed their upcoming comeback – with Sooyoung immediately taking over the top trending topics.

Girls’ Generation Sooyoung Delivers Witty Message to SM Entertainment
After the comeback announcement, Sooyoung surprised the fans when she visited SM Entertainment’s company building.
The K-pop idol shared a photo of it on her Instagram Story. While the visit already surprised the fans, SONEs made more noises due to the cryptic and witty message she delivered through the photo.
The image in question features Sooyoung wearing a hoodie and a blue cap with the words, “I don’t work here.”

Sooyoung Started Anew With New Agency
Sooyoung’s Instagram post came years after she decided to become part of Saram Entertainment. After being in talks to sign with the company, a representative for the agency revealed in 2019 that she officially secured her contract with them.
“Choi Sooyoung has showed stable performances through various characters, regardless of genre, including movies and dramas. She has proved infinite potential by continuing her global career based on a positive mindset and confident attitude. We will fully support her efforts to continue her activities in more diverse areas based on trust and communication,” the company said.
Sooyoung’s current agency is the home to many renowned celebrities, including Yoon Kye Sang, Honey Lee, Han Ye Ri, Jo Jin Woong, Uhm Jung Hwa, Kwon Yul, and Go Sung Hee, to name a few.
