Love can be boring, adventurous, confusing, weird, anything you can call it. As for Naoya, Nagisa, and Saki in Girlfriend, Girlfriend, it is the three of them. While it seems unconventional to have three people in a relationship, they were trying to make it work, however, their set-up surely comes with challenges that would definitely put them and what they stand for to a test like what the ending of season 1 showed.

In Girlfriend, GirlfriendEpisode 12, Girlfriend, Girlfriend, Nagisa continues explaining that when she saw Naoya for the first time, she immediately fell in love with him, and because of that, she devoted herself and gave it her all to be the ideal woman of Naoya. However, all of these were overheard by Naoya and he tells Nagisa not to hold back. This made Nagisa embarrassed and she fled.
Shino bumped into Rika and they saw Naoya, Nagisa, and Saki running past them. They also joined the chase. Nagisa said that she must be subordinate to Saki for their relationship to work. Saki, Rika, and Shino were all tired from running and Nagisa and Naoya continued running. When Naoya caught her, he said he will fix the problem they have.
When Shino, Rika, and Saki arrived after catching up their breaths, Nagisa finally revealed to Shino that she is also dating Naoya. Saki accepted that and she happily declared that they now become rivals to being the senior girlfriend before going away from Shino and Rika then start their vacation for real.

Shino criticized Saki for accepting that Naoya is a two-timer, however, she was shocked to learn that Naoya is planning to tell such relationship set-up to the mother of Saki though she forbids that. Shino decided to do something for Saki, split them, and she was also surprised to learn that Rika wanted to be in the relationship as well and she accused Naoya of three-timer.
What a turn of events, right? Should there be Season 2 for Girlfriend, Girlfriend, it would be interesting to see Saki and Nagisa be rivals to be the senior girlfriend because clearly, how can Naoya handle two girls like that when he loves them both? Is there anyone he loves more?
