Gina Carano has been making headlines since last year for her choice opinions and commentary on social media which would eventually get her in trouble, resulting in her termination not only from The Mandalorian but also from the entire Star Wars franchise altogether. Carano's controversial and "unceremonious" firing from Disney could easily be considered the lowest point in her blossoming Hollywood career which is a shame considering Lucasfilm had major plans for Cara Dune.

Prior to her The Mandalorian removal, the former mixed martial arts fighter was scheduled to appear on the sixth season of Bear Grylls' hit reality survival show Running Wild with Bear Grylls on National Geographic but rumor has it that Disney pulled some strings and canned the upcoming episode. However, in a surprising turn of events, the episode was back on the slate and was broadcast on Monday.

Naturally, fans of the actress took to social media to express their delight and celebrate Carano's television comeback five months after The Mandalorian Season 2 concluded. The hashtag #GinaGoneWild even became a hot trending topic on Twitter as fans clearly missed seeing her on TV. Check out some of the reactions here:

Assuming that Disney actually had something to do with the initial cancelation of Gina's appearance on the show, fans should be thankful that cooler heads prevailed and her episode was still aired despite the circumstances of her firing but then again, there's no proof that the company did some last-minute politicking and was responsible for it. Still, considering the House of Mouse owns National Geographic, it's still quite surprising to see Carano on Disney programming. Does it mean the fences are being mended?

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian Season 3 is hitting Disney+ in 2022.
