Giancarlo Esposito Claims Moff Gideon's Darth Vader-Inspired Suit Could Reveal Villain's Future

We didn't get to see Moff Gideon in action this week but there is little doubt that the Star Wars villain has something big planned for the upcoming episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2. Interestingly, Giancarlo Esposito that his character's future has already been teased by his new suit that appears to be inspired by Darth Vader's classic armor.

Esposito recently spoke to IGN about his role in the previous episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 and the Breaking Bad actor was quick to point out that Gideon's suit is a clear reference to Vader.

"I think it's a throwback to this guy," Esposito said of the Vader-inspired look. He then continued by stating that the costume made him think about Gideon's characteristics.

"I mean, it really relates in a way to me, I like to think or imagine in my brain, that he has the kind of power that Darth Vader had. And so, seeing him in his armor and his cape and armed up tells me he's a warrior. That tells me he is a soldier and has the skills to back that up and hopefully, you'll see it soon in our [upcoming] episodes," Esposito concluded.

Well, that's an awesome tease at what to look forward to in the next chapters of The Mandalorian Season 2. Could Gideon actually have a lot more in common with Vader other than his armor? Hopefully, we'll find out next week.

The sixth episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 will air on Disney+ on December 4.
