George Lucas was on the Set of The Mandalorian When Ahsoka’s Scenes were Shot

Rosario Dawson made her triumphant debut as Ahsoka Tano in last week's episode of The Mandalorian, and though the episode had Dave Filoni behind the camera, another Star Wars legend was also present during shooting—George Lucas.

Talking to Vanity Fair, Dawson shared that Lucas was on set when she was shooting her scenes as Ahsoka Tano. When asked how she felt that the creator of the entire franchise was there, she says:

"I was definitely nerve-wracked, and it was great to be there with him and Dave. I mean, it's a lot of pressure. But it was also really fun. Both of them were looking at me but they weren't, you know what I mean? They were looking at their imaginations come to life."

Dawson even revealed that she was actually beside Lucas in the photo that showrunner Jon Favreau shared back in January. She shared, "I was there that day. I was all dressed up, I was just off to the side of that photo, all done up as Ahsoka."

We don't know when the show plans to bring Ahsoka back to the fray, but her mission of finding Thrawn is definitely turning some heads. While Thrawn could very likely be the next villain for The Mandalorian, it's possible this could all be set-up for that rumored Ahsoka series that was said to be in the works for Disney+.

In the meantime, catch The Mandalorian Season 2 now on Disney+.
