Hasbro's Senior Director of Product Design Vickie Stratford admitted that she was thrilled that the action figure is becoming a reality.

"As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I have both the honor and privilege to bring characters from the franchise to life in product form every single day," Stratford said. "When the opportunity came to design the George Lucas figure, we were especially excited for this project. This figure is just one of the many ways we can honor his legacy for years to come and we hope fans cherish it as much as we did!"

This isn't the first time that Lucas got his own official Star Wars action figure. However, it is the first one to join the Black Series complete with articulated arms and legs. It's also the first one that depicts Lucas as one of the often underrated Stormtroopers.

Pre-orders for the George Lucas (in Stormtrooper Disguise) will open on Wednesday, September 29, at 1 p.m. ET on Amazon. However, the Black Series action figure will not be available until 2022. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
