George Clooney became a busy bee in March when he started filming his new movie called The Boys in the Boat at a new film production studio in the U.K. The imminent movie, based on Daniel James Brown’s book, is a real-life story of a rowing team from the University of Washington who, amid the depression era in America, headed to the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin.

Aside from George Clooney, other stars cast in The Boys in the Boat include Callum Turner, Hadley Robinson and Joel Edgerton. The husband of Amal Alamuddin also shot an upcoming romantic comedy film directed by Ol Parker and written by Parker and Daniel Pipski titled Ticket to Paradise, which serves as his reunion project with Julia Roberts.

George Clooney Advised To Slow Down Amid Hectic Work Schedules

Globe Magazine, in its upcoming August 1, 2022 issue, reported that close pals of George Clooney are urging him to stop being such a micromanager, or he would ruin his health. The better half of Amal Alamuddin is said to be pushing himself to the limit with projects in Europe while secretly jetting back and forth to L.A. for the briefest of business meetings.

An unnamed source told the entertainment news outlet:

“George is driving himself like a man half his age and no one can talk him into slowing down, not even Amal. He’s go go go all the time and there is concern the adrenaline will run out!”

The publication previously reported that the intense work ethic of George Clooney collided with his health in 2020 when he came down with pancreatitis, which he believed was liked to his extreme diet before making the post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama The Midnight Sky. At the time, he admitted:

“I think I was trying too hard to lose the weight quickly and probably wasn’t taking care of myself.”

Informants told Globe Magazine that pressure is intense for George Clooney to deliver more than ever, and he allegedly refuses to delegate. An unidentified insider shared:

“He’s got half a dozen projects going at one and he’s producing and writing and starring. Even in the age of Zoom meeting, he can’t make deals remotely. They want to see him in the flesh, and he’s often getting in on 24-hour turn-around for quick meetings!”

Tattlers claimed the “very picky and particular” star, George Clooney, has made Lake Como, Italy, the center of his moviemaking world. However, when it comes to getting funding for a film, the source said:

“George has two choices – he can come to L.A. and kiss the rings of the big company bosses, or he can roll the dice and try to raise money for his projects independently. The money and conditions are always better when you get in bed with the studios, and that’s what George has had to do!”

In March, Amal Alamuddin spoke about her marriage to George Clooney to Time, per Elle. The human rights lawyer told the media outlet:

"Marriage has been wonderful. I have in my husband a partner who is incredibly inspirational and supportive, and we have a home filled with love and laughter. It is a joy beyond anything I could ever have imagined. I feel so lucky to have found a great love in my life and to be a mother—this is how I get my balance.”

The wife of George Clooney also addressed the popularity it gives her as she continues her work as a human rights lawyer. Amal Alamuddin said:

“In terms of an increased public profile, I think all I can do is try to turn the spotlight to what is important,” she said. “That can definitely benefit some clients. If I am at a work function and reporting of it focuses on irrelevant issues, there’s not much I can do about that. Since I can’t control it, my approach is just not to dwell on it and just get on with my work and my life and hope that attitudes will catch up. And I do actually feel like there is a female solidarity that has built up on these issues where other women will sort of call that out in a way that maybe wouldn’t have happened five or 10 years ago. So attitudes are changing.”
