I think we can all agree that George Clooney will always be remembered in the world of superhero films as the worst live-action iteration of Batman. Starring in 1997's Batman & Robin directed by the late Joel Schumacher, the film was lambasted by fans and critics alike for being too "cartoon-ish" and the film has gone down in infamy.

For the longest time, Clooney has tried his best to distance himself from his past as the caped crusader and while he ended up being one of Hollywood's biggest and most bankable actors shortly following Batman & Robin's release, he still can't seem to escape the shadow of the Bat.

These days, the 61-year-old actor seems more comfortable talking about his failed stint as Batman, so much so that he can finally crack jokes about it. Now, according to him, he's a better Batman in comparison to another A-list celebrity who recently donned the cape and cowl.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter at the opening of the Roybal Film and Television Magnet, Clooney jokingly claimed that his version of Batman is far superior to Ben Affleck's DCEU counterpart. He said: "Ben Affleck, really? He's got nothing on me!"

The discourse surrounding the "best" live-action adaptation of Batman is clearly subjective and while I don't mean any disrespect to Clooney, his take on the caped crusader isn't exactly held in high regard. As for Affleck's version, I think he did a pretty good job during his short tenure and proved the naysayers wrong. It's a shame that WB didn't capitalize on him because he could've easily taken the DCEU to great heights.

Speaking of Ben Affleck's version of the Dark Knight, he's set to make his return in The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom which have both been pushed back to 2023.
