General Hux Might Not Be In Star Wars: Episode IX

General Hux is one of the many divisive characters from the current Star Wars trilogy. While he didn't do much in The Force Awakens, some fans felt that he was too comedic during The Last Jedi, though others didn't mind since it actually gave him some character. Still, there's no doubt that the character has made an impact on fans and they are curious on what he will be doing in Episode IX.

Oddly enough, Hux actor Domhnall Gleeson isn't sure if he will be in the final installment of the current trilogy.

Speaking with Short List, Gleeson confirmed that J.J. Abrams has finished the script for Star Wars: Episode IX but he isn't sure if Hux will be a part of it. Apparently, he is still waiting for the shooting dates of his character, which he has yet to receive.

"I don't know if I'm even in the next one. I think JJ [Abrams] has just finished the script. They've given us dates for when it might begin, but I'm still waiting to find out if I'll be there."

Gleeson also defended The Last Jedi, stating that it had some of the best moments in the whole franchise. It seems like the film will forever be divisive amongst the fan base and it will be fun to see how it ages.

Star Wars: Episode IX is slated for a December 20, 2019, release.
