General Grievous Officially Joins Star Wars Battlefront II Next Week

After months of teases and leaks, EA and DICE have revealed that General Grievous will join the Star Wars Battlefront II roster very soon. The insidious droid will be a part of a free update on October 30 for all systems where the game is available, so Clone Wars fans should be very pleased. EA and DICE have also detailed some of the character's abilities, which could entice him to players even more.

On a blog post that was published earlier today, it was said that Grievous attacks with two of his lightsabers and will sometimes use all four, probably as a super attack. Grievous will also be one of the game's bigger character models, though he will be smaller than Chewbacca for the sake of accuracy.

Grievous can also deflect laser attacks with his two lightsabers, which should make him really useful in multiplayer battles. The character's super attacks are also based on his Clone Wars appearances, including a move called Thrust Surge where he uses all four lightsabers for an attack that deals damage and brings his opponent to the ground.

Unrelenting Advance is another attack Grievous can use, which turns him into a spinning wall of lightsaber fury. He has used this in Revenge of the Sith against Obi-Wan Kenobi and is going to do a lot of damage to players who get in his way. You'd best keep your distance for that.

The character will come with his Jedi Hunter costume, as well as a previously released damaged look that fans will appreciate. A new costume for the character will debut on November 28.

Star Wars Battlefront II is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
