Gemini Man Featurette Explores How They Created Young Will Smith

Will Smith may not be appearing in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, but you can catch him in some more sci-fi action in Ang Lee's Gemini Man. The main hook of the movie is that it will have young Will Smith go up against old Will Smith, and a new featurette has been released giving us an inside look of how exactly they de-aged him for the film.

At 50 years old, Smith is definitely looking good for his age, but he's far away from 24—the age his younger clone is said to be in the film. Admittedly, I think some shots of the clone came out kind of weird, but I'm sure they'll have polished everything perfectly when the film comes out.

I have to hand it to Ang Lee, he's proven himself to be a jack of all trades kind of director, shifting from genre to genre. One second he's directing dramatic films like Brokeback Mountain and The Life of Pi then he goes and makes this energy-fueled action film. Hopefully, the story will be just as engaging as the premise alone.

Gemini Man (#GeminiMan) is an innovative action-thriller starring Will Smith (#WillSmith) as Henry Brogan, an elite assassin, who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.

Gemini Man stars Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Benedict Wong, and Clive Owen. The film comes out Oct. 4.
