It's Will Smith vs Will Smith in New Trailer for Gemini Man

Will Smith may not be reprising Deadshot in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, but he's set to star in his own action movie facing off against… himself. Paramount has just dropped a new trailer for Gemini Man, and it has Smith facing off against a younger version of himself.

He's the official description:

Gemini Man (#GeminiMan) is an innovative action-thriller starring Will Smith (#WillSmith) as Henry Brogan, an elite assassin, who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.

The movie is directed by Ang Lee (Life of Pi, Brokeback Mountain), so we should expect some very artsy visuals. I have to hand it to Lee though; he's proven himself as a director that can't be tied down by any one genre. One second he's working on a comic book film like Hulk, and the next he's working on an emotional story with Brokeback Mountain. I honestly don't know how he's going to handle an action film like Gemini Man.

Besides Smith, the film will also star the likes of Mary Elizbeth Winstead, Clive Own, and Benedict Wong. No doubt though, that a bulk of the work for this film is going to be on Smith, playing two different characters with their own agendas and personalities.

Catch Gemini Man when it comes out Oct. 11.
