Game Of Thrones Season 8 Theory Reveals The Night King's Real Target

We already know that the Night King is leading the White Walker Army into battle in Game of Thrones Season 8. But what are his true motives for invading Westeros in the final season? A new theory may have revealed the Night King has a target and it isn't who you think it is.

Fans have been worried that the Night King is out to get Jon Snow after their initial meeting at Hardhome in the fifth season. Others also believe that the villain is going after Bran Stark, who encountered the Night King in the Season 6 episode The Door. However, there's a possibility that there is a completely different reason why the White Walkers are coming in the final season.

A Reddit post suggests that the Night King is aiming to take revenge on the Children of the Forest for turning him into a White Walker in the first place. After all, it has been confirmed that the Children of the Forest had created the Night King to defend them from the First Men. The White Walkers could be headed back to Westeros in search of their maker in the Isle of Faces where the Weirwood trees are still intact.

The theory becomes even more plausible considering that the actor who plays the Night King had somehow confirmed how his character has a target. Although Vladimir Furdik did not reveal who it is, the actor stated that we will discover the Night King's motives right away. Hopefully, we'll find out right away in the first episode and it's possible that Bran will be the one to tell us just what to expect throughout the final season.

Game of Thrones Season 8 will air on HBO on April 14.
