Game Of Thrones’ Kit Harrington Talks About Infamous Unaired Pilot

Game of Thrones might be one of the biggest shows on television right now, but it seems like the fantasy epic's original pilot turned out quite a disaster despite the pool of talent that showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss managed to gather for the series.

Adding to the stories that Benioff and Weiss have already told about the infamous pilot, Game of Thrones star Kit Harington decided to talk about the episode with The Guardian.Though the Jon Snow actor's never actually really seen the episode, the showrunners love to blackmail him by saying that they might release the pilot on YouTube if ever he annoys them too much.

"They made a lot of mistakes. It didn't look right, didn't feel right, had nothing different about it," Harrington said, adding "They say, if I ever p*** them off too much, they'll release it on YouTube. Every now and then, they send me a screengrab, just as a threat."

A number of details about the pilot have been released over the years, with the showrunners talking about boring expositions, an unlikeable cast, and a confusing story that failed to highlight that Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei (Lena Headey)were actually related. Thank goodness HBO decided to have the team rework the pilot into something better.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres sometime in 2018 or 2019.
