There is little doubt that Attack on Titan got inspiration from other notable works of fiction and it's no surprise that one of the manga's most controversial characters is loosely based on a Game of Thrones figure. Hajime Isayama has just confirmed that Gabi Braun was based on the HBO show's Arya Stark.

Attack on Titan: Gabi Braun Is Based On Game Of Thrones' Arya Stark

Hajime Isayama recently made a highly anticipated appearance at Anime NYC where he spoke about Attack on Titan (via Twitter). One of the interesting things that the mangaka revealed was the truth about Gabi Braun. Amazingly, Isayama confirmed that Gabi is based on another feisty character who proved to be one of the most popular figures in Game of Thrones.

It's not a huge surprise considering that there are a lot of similarities between Gabi and Arya Stark. Both have shown exceptional fighting skills at a young age. But whereas Arya is a beloved character, international fans are not exactly fond of Gabi after she killed Sasha Blouse. Still, there is a possibility that viewers will change their opinion of Gabi soon.

Attack on Titan: Falco Is Jesse Pinkman

Hajime Isayama also confirmed that Gabi's best friend Falco Grice is based on Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad. This is not exactly a huge surprise considering that the mangaka has admitted that he enjoys the TV series.
