Gal Gadot Clears Up Rumors About Wonder Woman 2 & Brett Ratner

With Justice League getting mixed reviews from critics, it looks like Wonder Woman will continue to be the best DCEU film Warner Bros. has released. This is why a sequel is crucial for the sequel's success with Gal Gadot reprising her role and Patty Jenkins returning to the director's chair. However, some reports claimed that Gadot wouldn't return to the sequel if Brett Ratner and his production company RatPac was still involved.

Now, these reports might have been false since Gadot had already agreed to a sequel, which will be moved up from December 2019 to November of that year. A report from Deadline had also stated that RatPac hadn't committed to co-financing the sequel. For the sake of clarity, the actress cleared up the rumors surrounding the sequel and Brett Ratner.

During a promotional appearance for Justice League on Today, Gadot essentially confirmed that Ratner was no longer involved in the film. She even revealed that there was nothing for her to say since a decision to remove him was apparently made before those articles came out. Here is her full statement.

"At the end of the day, a lot has been written about my views and the way that I feel, and everyone knows the way that I feel because I'm not hiding anything, but the truth is, there's so many people involved in making this movie, and they all echo the same sentiments. Everyone knew what was the right thing to do. But there was nothing for me to actually come and say because it was already done before this article came out."

Wonder Woman 2 will now come to theaters on November 1, 2019. Justice League hits theaters in a few days, on November 17.
