Justice League: Amazon Actresses Comment On Wardrobe Controversy

Justice League, much like every other DCEU film not named Wonder Woman, has gotten a mixed reaction from the critics that have seen it. While most fans haven't seen the movie yet, some of them already have a bone to pick with it, now that they've seen the new costumes of the Amazons. Set pictures have shown more revealing costumes for the Amazons, resulting in many angry fans who feel that they've now been sexualized.

However, some of these actresses have addressed the complaints and they might change the minds of angry fans.

Brooke Ence, who portrays the Amazon Penthiselea, told USA Today that she had no problem showing more skin, pointing out that it didn't bother her at all. Ence also points out that not every Amazon wore a two-piece and that most of the supporting cast didn't think the outfits were sexualized. "the girls on set, we never thought of (the new costumes) as a sexy version. It felt a little more glamorous, if anything, because we had bigger, beautiful hair, which I loved," said Ence.

Samantha Jo, another Amazon actress, and a martial artist went to Twitter addressing the controversy head-on. Jo pointed out that the Amazons need more mobility and can't be too armored up like knights or samurai.

Justice League will start showing on November 17.
