FX's What We Do In The Shadows TV Series Gets Hilarious New Teaser

People have been waiting for the TV series based on Taika Waititi's What We Do In The Shadows for some time now. Luckily, FX has shared a new teaser ahead of the show's March premiere.

The teaser opens with Nandor (Kayvan Novak) staring excitedly at something offscreen amidst eerie chanting. For a few moments, the viewer wonders if he is in the middle of a dark ceremony. However, this is What We Do In The Shadows so you can't really know what to expect.

It is then revealed that the vampires are gathered in front of a massive birthday cake with hundreds of candles (because it's probably Nandor's 500th birthday). The chanting is their own version of Happy Birthday. Once it's all over, Nandor tries to extinguish all the candles but since this is What We Do In The Shadows, that doesn't go so well.

The series also stars Matt Berry (The IT Crowd), Natasia Demetriou (StathLets Flats), and Harvey Guillen (The Internship). Star Trek: Discovery actor Doug Jones and Jake McDormand of Limitless have also been confirmed for a recurring role in the show.

The film What We Do In The Shadows was based in New Zealand. However, the series follows a group of vampires in New York who have been roommates for hundreds of years. It is still unclear if we'll be seeing werewolves or completely oblivious police officers in the show as well.

What We Do In The Shadows has not yet been given an official premiere date. However, the series is set to premiere on FX in March.
