f(x) Luna will finally reach Broadway through KPOP The Musical after her continuous success amid her girl group’s indefinite hiatus.

While f(x) is yet to confirm its future to fans, Luna has been using all of her time to focus on her career as a soloist. After leaving SM Entertainment and joining Humap Contents for a short time, she established her own entertainment agency, Grida Entertainment, and constantly participated in several stage musicals.

After her numerous appearances on stage plays, Luna is ready to take the internal musical stage by debuting in KPOP.

f(x) Luna To Mark Broadway Debut in KPOP The Musical

During Luna’s appearance at a press conference at the Korean Cultural Center in New York City, she confirmed that she would be making her Broadway debut through the upcoming play, KPOP The Musical.

She revealed that her fans know that musical theater has been her passion since day one, so being part of Broadway would be the pinnacle of achievement in her career so far.

Meanwhile, producers Forbes and Parnes have since released a statement, saying that they are excited to introduce Luna and more K-pop superstars to Broadway audiences.

“The driving force of this production of KPOP has always been to fuse the vibrant, joyful, and wildly entertaining world of K-pop with the powerful storytelling of a Broadway musical. The result is something that no one has ever seen before on stage, complete with epic production values, catchy songs, passion, and heart,” they said, as quoted by Deadline.

The other cast members remain unknown. Still, it would be Luna’s latest musical project after starring in the original and Korean versions of several stage musicals like High School Musical on Stage!, In the Heights, Rebecca, Rudolf (The Last Kiss), and Legally Blonde, to name a few.

Will Luna Also Come Back With f(x)?

As the K-pop idol comes back to the spotlight again, questions about whether f(x) would return also emerged.

While the group members have not commented about their potential comeback – or official disbandment – yet, Luna once shared her thoughts during their 10th anniversary. For what it’s worth, the four members now have different careers after Sulli’s death.

According to Luna, f(x) is “always one,” hinting that the girl group has not disbanded yet. She also said that, although they are no longer in SM Entertainment, it does not mean they are disbanding.

Only time can tell whether there is still something the future holds for f(x).
