Police formally requested arrest warrants for former WINNER member Nam Tae Hyun and his girlfriend, Heart Signal star Seo Min Jae, over their alleged drug use.
Nam Tae Hyun and Seo Min Jae have been under the spotlight since the latter posted a controversial Instagram update regarding their drug use. Following months of investigation, the police formally made a huge move to arrest the couple.

Arrest Warrants Requested for Nam Tae Hyun, Seo Min Jae
Local media outlets, including Seoul Shinmun and Dong A Ilbo, confirmed that police officially requested the warrants of arrest for Nam Tae Hyun and Seo Min Jae.
On Wednesday, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul filed a request for arrest warrants for the couple after they violated the Narcotics Control Act. The court will hold an interrogation of the suspects on May 18 at 10:30 a.m. KST before proceeding with the arrest.

Per the police, Nam Tae Hyun and Seo Min Jae are destroying the evidence.
They have not commented on the development yet. But it came over two months after the former WINNER member was charged with drunk driving. At that time, he opened his car door while on the side of a road in Gangnam, Seoul, hitting and damaging the taxi passing by.
Police detected that his blood level was at 0.114 percent, exceeding the license revocation level of 0.08 percent.
Seo Min Jae Shared Shocking Revelation
The case started when Seo Min Jae posted a since-deleted Instagram post saying that they were drug addicts and that the K-pop idol used Philopon, a type of methamphetamine.
She added that she had a syringe in her room and workplace before admitting that Nam Tae Hyun also hit her.
Although she deleted it, followers who saw the post reported it to the police. Seo Min Jae also released a statement to clarify what she did.
"I fought with my boyfriend and I took some medicine because I was so stressed and in a state of losing my mind. That's why I uploaded a post that has nothing to do with the facts," she wrote. "I also hurt myself by mistake, so I am currently in the hospital. I ended up posting this statement late because I was receiving treatment."
Nam Tae Hyun released a similar post and apologized for the event.
