The upcoming Kdrama series on Netflix, Bloodhounds, confirmed its release date and other details ahead of its arrival.

On Friday, Netflix formally revealed the official release date of Woo Do Hwan-led Kdrama series, Bloodhounds.

Bloodhounds Plot

Netflix Kdrama Bloodhounds is based on a webtoon of the same name. The upcoming Kdrama series explores the lives of two young men who wanted to become professional boxers. They soon work together to fight the evil forces in the private loan market.

Bloodhounds Cast Members

Bloodhounds Kdrama on Netflix features Woo Do Hwan, who plays the role of a sincere boxing prospect named Kim Geon Woo. He starts working for illegal moneylenders after his mother suffers following an unfortunate event.

Lee Sang Yi scored Woo Jin’s role, Kim Geon Woo’s partner-in-action. They become friends after meeting for the first time in a boxing competition’s finals.

Meanwhile, Huh Joon Ho and Park Sung Woong play the roles of private loan industry president, President Choi, and illegal loan shark Kim Myeong Gil, respectively.

The drama also features Jung Da Eun, Choi Si Won, Choi Young Joon, Tae Won Seok, Ryu Soo Young, and Lee Hae Yeong.

Actress Kim Sae Ron was previously tapped to star in the series. However, Netflix Korea ultimately removed her from the list of cast members following her DUI incident.

Bloodhounds Release Date

As cited by Korea JoongAng Daily, the Kim Joo Hwan-directed series will be released on Netflix on June 9. It will have a total of 8 episodes.

Bloodhounds Trailer

Ahead of the release, Netflix Korea unveiled the official trailer and poster to give viewers a sneak peek at what the main characters do.

The main poster shows Gun Woo and Woo Jin as they work together to bring down the world of loan sharks. The material also has the text, “’Bloodhounds’ who catch loan sharks. We bite off until the end.”

Meanwhile, the trailer shows Gun Woo and Woo Jin’s illustrious boxing careers, which soon help them survive the loan sharks. Mr. Choi says elsewhere in the trailer that the two boxers took down 30 men in one fight.

The trailer ends with someone yelling, “Kill Them!” hyping the viewers even more.
