Former MONSTA X Member Wonho Confirms Last Concert Plans Before Starting Military Service

Former MONSTA X member Wonho will leave a beautiful memory to his fans before his military service enlistment.

Wonho and other trainees joined the Mnet survival show, No.Mercy, and debuted in MONSTA X. The seven trainees who made it to the final debut lineup — Wonho, Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwoon, Joohoney, and I.M.

However, Wonho decided to leave in 2019 after he got embroiled in a damaging issue.

Amid her solo works, the K-pop idol announced his plans before his scheduled enlistment.

Wonho Plans To Hold Solo Concert

On Wednesday, Korea JoongAng Daily shared the announcement posted by Wonho’s label, Highline Entertainment.

According to the agency, the K-pop idol will meet his fans one last time through a concert before starting his mandatory military service next month as a public service worker.

The concert, titled Everyday Christmas, will be held on December 3 at two-time slots: 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. It will happen at the Sungshin Women’s University WoonJung Green Campus' Auditorium in central Seoul.

As part of the concert promotion, Highline Entertainment released a poster showing Wonho donning a Christmas-designed scarf while extending his arm as he invites his fans.

Fanclub members who want to see him before his enlistment can avail of tickets starting November 25, 2:00 p.m. Meanwhile, a general sale will happen on November 28, 2:00 p.m.

Why Did Wonho Leave MONSTA X?

Wonho officially left the Starship Entertainment boy group in November 2019.

Ahead of the group’s comeback at that time, MONSTA X dealt with rumors that Wonho smoked marijuana. There were also claims insisting he had bad debts.

South Korean TV personality Jung Da Eun posted on social media that Wonho also borrowed money from her. She asked him through that post when he plans to pay her back.

Aside from that, she divulged that the idol was once incarcerated in a youth detention center following a theft case. She alleged that the idol sold the items he stole online.

Following the controversy, he decided to leave the group, leading MONSTA X to continue its promotion with the remaining seven members.
