Former Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Director Approves of Sam Raimi's Hiring

Sam Raimi has confirmed that he's involved with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which has a lot of fans jumping for joy since his horror expertise would do wonders since this is supposed to be the first scary MCU movie. While most fans are jumping for joy and getting their memes ready, a number of them have also asked what former Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson thinks about this move.

Considering how Derrickson is still on-board the movie as its producer, he's obviously more than fine with it. Rather than tell fans that, Derrickson simply retweeted that time he gave his full approval of Sam Raimi directing the Doctor Strange sequel. Granted, everyone isn't online all the time so Derrickson giving fans a reminder isn't a bad thing but maybe you shouldn't ask someone how they feel when someone else takes over their project. It's a bit rude.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will likely be a first for a lot of things. The first superhero movie Sam Raimi directed since Spider-Man 3, the first horror movie in the MCU, the first MCU team-up between Doctor Strange and Wanda (unless she becomes the villain), and so much more. Here's hoping they keep those beautifully trippy visuals and give us a horror story worthy of having them.

Also, expect a lot of screaming women. This is a Sam Raimi movie after all.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be coming out on November 5, 2021.
