Who is Forge in X-Men ’97?

Forge, a mutant from the Cheyenne tribe, received his mystical tutelage from the tribe’s shaman, Naze.

Possessing a distinct blend of mutant abilities and sorcery, he embodies the roles of both inventor and warrior.

Forsaking his Cheyenne roots, Forge ventured into the US military, joining the peacekeeping efforts in East Asia.

After his platoon fell to a surprise enemy attack, Forge, consumed by sadness and fury, unleashed a portal with his magical abilities, summoning demons to annihilate the enemy forces.

Yet, unable to command the demon forces, he resorted to calling an airstrike, resulting in the loss of his right hand and leg.

Upon returning him for recovery, Forge renounced his magic, opting instead to utilize his mutant knack for the invention to craft bionic replacements for his lost limbs.

Forgetting about his mystic inclinations, Forge focused on his role as an inventor, receiving a commission from the Department of Defense to develop weapons.

Among his creations was a gadget designed to nullify superhuman powers.

Forge’s aliases are Maker and Cheyenne and his place of origin remains undisclosed in the series.

He is a member of the X-Men group and is Charles Xavier’s colleague.
