Flashpoint Film Could Shoot in Canada

After a year in development hell, it looks like the Flashpoint movie is finally moving forward with directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. WB is said to have decided where they want to shoot the film, and it won't be in the UK like Wonder Woman 2 and the Suicide Squad sequel.

According to Omega Underground, WB is aiming to have Flashpoint shoot in Vancouver, the same location where they shot Zack Snyder' Watchmen and Man of Steel. No information has been set on when the movie will actually start production, but if it does start later this year, I could imagine Flashpoint would be released in theaters sometime in 2019.

With that in mind, then next year would see the release of a total of four DCEU movies—Shazam!, Wonder Woman 2, Suicide Squad 2, and Flashpoint. Of course, only the first two of those films have release dates, so we could still be looking at a 2020 release for either SS2 or Flash.

For now, the DCEU has taken a step back and is only having Aquaman release this year. After the commercial disappointment that was Justice League, it would make sense that WB would see what they were doing wrong with their superhero movies.

No release date has been announced for Flashpoint.
