First Trailer for Pixar's 'Onward' Will Debut During the NBA Finals Tonight

Yesterday we got our first look at Disney Pixar's Onward, and though we really weren't expecting anything else, we're actually getting our first teaser for the film later tonight.

This comes from DiscussingFilm on Twitter:

If you didn't know, the setting of Onward is pretty much like Netflix's Bright, where fantasy creatures are brought into a contemporary setting. So instead of living in trees and using magic, the elves in this story have cars and smartphones. The story is said to be focused on two elf brothers (Chris Pratt and Tom Holland) as they journey to find what's left of the magic in their world.

When the film was first announced last year, Chris Pratt himself admitted to have cried during the pitch meeting for the story. If anything, Pixar has always made sure that the movies they put out always include some kind of tear-jerking scene one way or the other. Onward shouldn't be any different.

I was expecting the first promos to come out after the release of Toy Story 4, but I guess it won't be so bad if we get a teaser of some sort. My guess is we'll get something short later tonight, then we'll get a full trailer come the release of Frozen Ii in November.

Catch Disney Pixar's Onward when it comes out March 6, 2020. Toy Story 4 hits theaters June 21.
