First Star Wars: Episode IX Footage was Screened, and Here's What It Revealed

Lucasfilm

Disney and Lucasfilm haven't released any footages for Star Wars: Episode IX yet but a select group of people had a chance to screen the first footage today during Walt Disney Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

While most fans have to wait to see some footage from the highly-anticipated sequel, Twitter user Scott Ladewig has shared a description of the footage that he saw. When a fan asked whether the footage included a behind-the-scenes look or actual scenes from the film, he said that he saw a bit of both.

Ladewig went on to share details of the scenes he saw in the footage:

When someone asked if there's footage with the Knights of Ren, Ladewig said he didn't see footage showing them.

Noticed how he used the word "abandoned" twice to describe where Finn and the blockade runner are, so maybe there's a scene with those two together or maybe the blockade runner is Finn himself. Kylo Ren looking at Vader's helmet reminds me of his Star Wars: The Force Awakens scene.

With only nine months left before Episode IX is released in theaters, they're probably going to release the first trailer soon.

Star Wars: Episode IX is set to release in theaters on December 20, 2019.
