First Power Rangers Trailer Shows The Team Gaining Their Powers

The first trailer for the upcoming Power Rangers film has finally been released, and it shows the team acquiring their powers. It looks like the group are high school misfits who were powerless. We don't see footage of them in costume or in their Zords, but we get to see the Red Ranger tranform, and a glimpse of Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa. This is like a mix of Josh Trank's Chronicle and Breakfast Club. Watch the trailer below:

Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

Dacre Montgomery is playing Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G as Trini the Yellow Ranger, and Ludi Lin as Zack the Black Ranger; Bryan Cranston as Zordon.

Power Rangers

will hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
