First Plot Details For Ant-Man and The Wasp Reportedly Revealed

While the MCU faithful are still waiting to see a trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, reports have claimed that new story details for Ant-Man and The Wasp have been revealed. The scoop comes from MCU Exchange, claiming that a source was able to tell them early parts of the plot. Fans might have to take this with a grain of salt, but there's nothing wrong with speculating here and there.

Apparently, the film opens with Scott Lang aka Ant-Man in house arrest after Steve Rogers helped and the others escape from prison at the end of Captain America: Civil War. It seems like that experience changed Lang since he no longer seems to be interested in being a superhero. Plus, having to serve house arrest doesn't bother him since he gets to spend time with his daughter Cassie.

On the flipside, Hope van Dyne and her father Hank Pym are researching the Quantum Realm as they try to rescue Janet van Dyne. It seems like the two are wanted by the police for some reason since they are constantly moving their lab and escaping authorities. Both of them aren't pleased with Lang's retirement since they really could have used his help with the research, given how he easily adapted to the Ant-Man suit.

Now we've already seen Hope and Scott in their uniforms, so we can assume that a threat will reunite them somehow. This is probably where Marvel villain Ghost is involved, though the report does not have any details about the film's big bad. Either way, it's an interesting scenario for our heroes and should be fun to watch.

Ant-Man and The Wasp will hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
