The follow-up to Jordan Peele's Get Out is still surrounded in mystery. However, we now have our first look at Us and Lupita Nyong'o's character could be in a lot of trouble.
The first photos from Peele's sophomore effort were revealed by Entertainment Weekly. One picture features a muddy and sweaty Adelaide Wilson (Nyong'o) appearing defensive as she clutches an unidentified weapon. She also appears to have shackles around her wrist and her clothes are torn. There is little doubt that the woman has been through a lot and isn't taking any chances.

The second image is decidedly more creepy as four figures wearing matching red gowns hold hands. One of them looks like Adelaide while the other appears to be her husband Gabe Wilson (Winston Duke).

Peele didn't reveal much about Us but admitted that he wanted to try something somehow different with his second directorial effort.
"For my second feature, I wanted to create a monster mythology. I wanted to do something that was more firmly in the horror genre but still held on to my love of movies that are twisted but fun," Peele said. He also revealed that the monsters in Us are called The Tethered.
Nyong'o offered some insight on her character's troubles, saying that "it turns into this relentless nightmare that taps into [Adelaide's] deepest fears and ours as well — the idea that we might be our own worst enemies." Needless to say, we can't wait until March for this horror film.
Us is scheduled for release on March 15, 2019.
