There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to the sequel to Andy Muschietti's It. Luckily, we now have the first teaser poster for It: Chapter Two.
The film's official Twitter account has unveiled the poster. Although there isn't much to see, the tweet confirms that the sequel will premiere in late 2019. Take a look at the poster below.
It's interesting that the poster was released on Halloween. The teaser should probably remind people to watch the first film in celebration of the holiday.
The synopsis for It: Chapter Two reads as follows:
"Twenty-seven years after the horrific events of the summer of '89, It (Bill Skarsgård) returns. The Losers' Club fulfill their promises and return to Derry to put an end to the shape-shifting beast."
The movie will follow the latter half of Stephen King's horror classic where the Losers' Club have already left Derry and pursued their ambitions. Although they have forgotten all about their past, the return to the little town will bring back everything they had to deal with as kids.
The sequel will star James McAvoy (Glass) as Bill Denborough, Jessica Chastain (Dark Phoenix) as Beverly Marsh, Jay Ryan (Beauty & The Beast) as Ben Hanscom, Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live) as Ritchie Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa (Shadowhunters) as Mike Hanlon, James Ransone (The Wire) as Eddie Kaspbrak, and Andy Bean (Power) as Stanley Uris. The actors who played the younger version of the characters will return as well.
It: Chapter Two is scheduled for release on September 6, 2019.
