It may have seemed like a huge pipe dream all these years but Marvel Studios has slowly been bringing actors from "non-MCU" projects to the billion-dollar franchise. As it stands, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio are officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and according to reports, their Netflix co-stars will soon follow suit. Well, except for one actor the studio reportedly has no plans of hiring.

We're talking about Iron Fist star Finn Jones who starred in two seasons of the action series centered on the titular hero aka Danny Rand. The 34-year-old actor has been quite vocal about his desire to reprise his Iron Fist role but the studio has yet to reveal its plans for the remaining characters in the now-defunct Netflix Marvel Universe.

It turns out that Jones is well aware of the online gossip surrounding his future in the MCU and in an interview with Geekscape, the English actor weighed in on his chances of ever getting to play Danny Rand in Earth-616. He said: "Of course I would! I'd love another chance... I care about [Danny Rand] deeply. I believe in that character, I believe there is a lot of work that can be done. There's something about the underdog. I love the underdog narrative. I love the ability to prove someone wrong. And I want to prove all those [doubters] wrong. I know I have it in me, and I know I can give the Danny Rand performance that fans want and I know is possible."

We all know for a fact that the Iron Fist series isn't the strongest out of the Netflix bunch but that doesn't mean that Finn didn't deliver a stellar performance. Hopefully, he will be able to get his shot at redemption in the MCU.

All two seasons of Iron Fist are available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
