Final Fantasy XV's Noctis Is Coming To Tekken 7

Just when fans thought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesjoining the Injustice 2 roster was weird, Bandai Namco threw a curveball at them. It has now been revealed that Noctis from Final Fantasy XV will be joining the next DLC fighter for Tekken 7, a character no one expected. This has been quite the norm for the seventh installment in the series to be honest, with Akuma from Street Fighter and Geese from King of Fighters currently part of the game.

In the trailer, it's revealed that Lars Alexanderson calls Noctis for a favor and it's played out like a Final Fantasy XV side-mission in the trailer. To be honest, the presentation is top-notch and fans that picked up the flawed but fun JRPG will be greatly amused. Keeping with Tekken tradition, Noctis is introduced by his full-name from the announcer, which is a nice touch.

We then see Noctis kick some butt, revealing that he will be using his teleportation, weapons, and magic to his advantage. His finisher is solid but lacks the flare and intensity of finishers from other fighting games, which has been the case with Tekken 7. Judging from the areas that Noctis was fighting in, it looks like he will come with new stages based on Final Fantasy XV.

Noctis will be available as DLC for Tekken 7 in Spring 2018. Final Fantasy XV is available now on PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC version coming out next year.
