After a long year of waiting, PC players will finally get to experience Final Fantasy XV for themselves. This version of the game has all the updates added in the console versions, along with all the paid-DLC from the season pass. It can easily be considered the "ultimate" version of the game, since it comes packed with all of the extra content.

The main adventure has players control Noctis, a prince trying to get his kingdom back from invaders with the help of his friends Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto. Since the Windows version of the game comes with all the season pass content, players will be able to control Noctis' allies in short episodes that flesh out the story more. Episodes for Gladiolus and Prompto are available now on consoles as paid DLC, while the episode for Ignis is slated for a December release.

Final Fantasy XV received positive reviews for the most part, thanks to it's action-packed battle system and large open-world to explore. However, the story was criticized for feeling rushed and incomplete, with certain characters having undefined motivations that were never properly explained in the story. While the DLC episodes added more elements to the plot, they weren't enough to make the title feel complete, though the gameplay was varied enough to make it a critical success.

PC players will be able to get the game in early 2018, though no specific release date was announced. Since it's being called Windows Edition, it looks like Mac owners will be left out for now. Final Fantasy XV is available now for PS4 and Xbox One, along with it's US$29.99 season pass.
