Fanbyte shared the rumors about this Final Fantasy game, which will be called Final Fantasy Origin. The game is apparently being developed in collaboration with Team Ninja, the studio most notably known for the Nioh series. The setting of Final FantasyOrigin is rumored to tie in with the first game in the franchise.

According to the rumors, PlayStation 5 owners will be able to try Final Fantasy Origin this summer and the demo phase will be called "Stranger in Paradise", which is expected to let players familiarize themselves with the mechanics of the game. Fanbyte says that Final Fantasy Origin is being developed largely by the team behind Dissidia NT, the Final Fantasy fighting game. The site also claims that Nioh veterals will be part of the development team, and the game is expected to have "Nioh DNA", and because of this, the gameplay style is expected to be more accessible to a wider audience.
