It's been three years since MCU's Fantastic Four reboot was officially greenlit by Marvel Studios, yet we still don't have any concrete information about its potential release date window and the actors who would bring the beloved group of heroes into the MCU. Thankfully, it seems that they are now rounding up the casting by adding another renowned actor Jamie Dornan.

According to a report from Giant Freaking Robot, the Fifty Shades of Grey actor has reportedly boarded the Fantastic Four reboot in an undisclosed role. Considering Dornan's Hollywood stature, he could possibly play two characters: Reed Richards and Johnny Storm.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has already brought John Krasinski as Fantastic Four's leader Mister Fantastic. Sadly, Krasinski's inclusion in the Doctor Strange sequel was only due to fan castings, implying that it was a one-and-done deal. Given that, the Mister Fantastic role is still open to others, and Dornan could ultimately play the role.

Dornan would also look absolutely fitting for the Human Torch role. First played by Marvel vet Chris Evans, the character was portrayed as a dashing playboy, which would definitely match Dornan's physical features. In fact, it makes more sense to cast the actor as Human Torch better than Mister Fantastic.

While it's too early to assume which Fantastic Four character Dornan would portray live-action, Marvel Studios wouldn't surely waste such potential to cast him in a less-relevant role. Dornan was recently nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his compelling performance in 2021’s Belfast.

Several reports were also claiming that Javier Bardem was tapped to play Doctor Doom, while Bryce Dallas Howard is rumored to play Sue Storm.

Along with casting development, Marvel Studios is still in search of a director replacement after Jonn Watts departed from the reboot. Hopefully, the reboot progresses and finalizes the casting soon enough for Phase 4.

Tune in for more updates about MCU's Fantastic Four reboot.
