Marvel Studios Will Reportedly Unveil the Fantastic Four Cast at D23

For the past few years, Marvel Studios has been working on a new Fantastic Four film which they first confirmed during the San Diego Comic-Con back in 2019. Since then, we haven't heard a lot of major updates with the exception of the hiring and exit of Jon Watts as the director.

Recently, there have been rumors about the actors that are being considered to play the members of the team and there are also speculations that Marvel might unveil the cast and the new director at this coming San Diego Comic-Con, where the studio is expected to do a presentation at Hall H. However, it looks like that might not be the case.

As reported by ComicBook.com, according to The DisInsider Show, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige will announce the cast and director of Fantastic Four at their D23 panel which is set to be held this September. However, the information has not been confirmed yet by the studio so we have to take it with a grain of salt.

Right now, we still don't know yet what kind of announcements Marvel will make in their upcoming San Diego Comic-Con and D23 panels, but they are expected to address the future of the franchisee and updates on the already-announced upcoming projects that are on their slate.

It is hard to say if Marvel prefers to make a huge splash on Fantastic Four in either Comic-Con or D23, which are both major events with the latter being focused more on Disney. However, either way, both are great venues to make such announcements and we can safely assume that we already know the cast and key creatives of the film by the end of this year regardless of the event where they'll unveil it.

For now, all we can do at the very least is speculate on the four key actors that Marvel will cast as they are finally bringing the First Family to the MCU in the future. It would also be interesting to see if John Krasinski will be involved after we saw him play Earth-838's Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
