FIFTY FIFTY chief producer SIAHN revealed the formula behind the girl group’s success.

Amid the rise of monster rookies like NewJeans, FIFTY FIFTY became successful on its own as it broke several records no K-pop group has achieved before. Aside from dominating the Billboard Main Singles Chart only 130 days after its debut, it hit another major success with its February track, Cupid.

How FIFTY FIFTY Became Successful Immediately After Its Debut

Chief producer of FIFTY FIFTY and the co-CEO of the girl group’s management company ATTRAKT, SIAHN, gained the most credit for creating hit songs for the idols. The producer, whose real name is Ahn Sung Il, notably worked with other famous singers, including MC THE MAX and Fin.K.L.

According to SIAHN, his main goal when he launched FIFTY FIFTY was to “create something that transcends the traditional genre” and to create music that would stay relevant in the next coming years.

The producer told The Korea Times, “We knew that tackling the 'fatigue points' of the music industry would be key to our success, so we centered our strategy around addressing these issues head-on.”

SIAHN also realized that listeners tend to get tired of listening to the same type of content; thus, they focused on producing music with the most fundamentals so listeners could appreciate the song. The agency also reportedly prioritized making music that people could enjoy.

Aside from working on the music, the chief producer also worked with the members to make them realize the power of music.

SIAHN Aims To Extend FIFTY FIFTY’s Winning Streak

As FIFTY FIFTY dominates other charts across the globe, SIAHN and his team also began to plan on expanding and building a stronger fan base while extending the girl group’s success.

He disclosed that its global promotion initially started in the US, but FIFTY FIFTY’s power has since expanded globally. The chief producer disclosed that they are now collaborating with the members to plot its next release and future projects, though they feel pressured and thrilled as they work on something to offer to fans.
