Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 First Look and Release Window Revealed by Netflix


Netflix's Geeked Week 2022 virtual event continues today to bring fans the latest sneak peeks, teasers, cast panels, and more news about the streamer's upcoming titles across various genres, including original fantasy and sci-fi films, television shows, animation, and games. The streaming giant has also shared new release date updates for upcoming movies and TV shows, including the Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2.

Fate: The Winx Saga, the popular YA fantasy series that tells a coming-of-age story about Bloom (played by Abigail Cowen), a young changeling fire fairy who arrives in the Otherworld to join Alfea, the magical school for faeries. The series is based on Winx Club, an Italian animated series that aired on Nickelodeon with more than in the United States with a voice cast that included Ariana Grande, Daniella Monet, and Elizabeth Gillies.

Over on Twitter, Netflix Geeked announced that Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 is set to release this autumn, so expect it to arrive on the streaming service sometime between September to November.

In addition to the release date update, Netflix also shared a first look of Paulina Chavez as Flora in Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2:

For those unfamiliar with the source material, Flora is the Guardian Fairy of Nature from Linphea, and in Winx Club, the team relies on her for potinos and advice.

The Vampire Diaries creator Brian Young, who will return as showrunner and executive producer for Season 2, said this in a statement after Netflix renewed the show in February 2021:

“Season 1’s six episodes hardly scraped the surface of this tremendously fascinating realm and its strong fairies. I’m excited to discover more about Aisha, Stella, Terra, and Musa as Bloom’s narrative progresses. And you never know who will turn up at Alfea the following semester “
