Fantastic Four/X-Men Characters Can Appear in Avengers: Endgame Under One Condition

It looks like the Disney/Fox Merger is going to pull through, but it sure is taking its time to get finalized. A lot of people are eager to see the Fantastic Four and X-Men make their debut in the MCU, and it's actually possible for them to be teased with Avengers: Endgame—there's just one condition.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the chances of the Fantastic Four or X-Men being teased in Avengers: Endgame greatly depends on when the Disney/Fox merger is finalized. They write:

"With the merger still yet complete, Marvel won't be allowed to put any teases into April'sEndgame… But let's just say if we were to catch even a glimpse of a silver surfboard in the post-credits ofAvengers: Endgame, well it might be the most cheer-worthy and thematically fitting final moment since Nick Fury first told Tony Stark he'd just become part of a bigger universe."

Even if the merger does manage to finalize before Endgame comes out, I doubt we're going to get some kind of huge character reveal. Like THR suggests, even a small teaser is sure enough to get a lot of people excited. Plus, you have to take into consideration the time it would take to cast the new X-Men and Fantasic Four. You'll have to make sure these actors fit for the next ten years.

If anything, I think one character is doable. I'd be so pumped if they managed to get Bryan Cranston to show up and be the MCU's Professor X. Maybe they can do some alternate timeline and have a time where the Fantastic Four have been existing since the 60s? I'm just spit-balling here.

For now, everyone is just waiting on this Fox/Disney deal to close. Hopefully they make it in time to approve even just a little post-credits teaser.

Catch Avengers: Endgame in theaters April 26.
