Fantastic DeepFake Puts Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams in Solo: A Star Wars Story

Though he isn't the spitting image of Harrison Ford, Alden Ehrenreich really made the character of Han Solo his own in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Regardless, fans are curious about what the movie would look like should Ford have played the part, and thanks to Shamook on Youtube, we now have a good idea.

Check out this fantastic DeepFake where Ehrenreich's face had been replaced with Ford's:

And I know it's just for one scene, but Shamook had also replaced Donald Glover's face with the original Lando, Billy Dee Williams. It would be great to get more scenes, but these DeepFake videos actually need a lot of time, plus a whole lot of footage.

I have to say, the video is pretty well done, but even if Solo finally has Ford's face, things still feel a little off. For one, Ehrenreich's voice is more high-pitched than Ford's; plus Ford is a lot taller (by 9cm in fact). It's kind of weird to see Woody Harrelson standing over Ford when Ford is also the taller of the two.

For now, Lucasfilm looks to be done with the story of young Han Solo, but fans online still want to #MakeSolo2Happen. While rumors have come out that a series is finally happening, we haven't got any official word from Lucasfilm yet. Hopefully, they make some big announcement before the year ends because as it stands, I still think Solo was the last good Star Wars movie we got from Disney.

We don't know when or if Han Solo will return, but The Mandalorian Season 2 is expected to hit Disney+ this October.
