Fanart Imagines Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson as Samus Aran

Samus Aran from Metroid is probably one of the most celebrated game heroines in pop culture, and it's only a matter of time before she gets to have her own movie adaptation. Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) has expressed her interest in playing the role, and we have some fanart imaging what she could look like in the part.

Unlike Lara Croft, Samus actually has a very interesting origin in the sense that players only knew that she was a woman by the end of the game. In the first Metroid , the game starts out with Samus clad in her armor, and after all the grinding, it's revealed that the character was actually a woman this whole time.

Personally, I would be amazed if the movie was able to make a twist like that or at least pay homage to it a little bit.

Knowing how these movie adaptations of video games go, I'm not expecting a Metroid movie to be any good, but I would be open to it being animated with Larson as the voice. Either way, I think she would be great in the role—especially counting that she would have earned some star power after the release of Captain Marvel.

Let's hope that Larson soars when the movie comes out next year.
