Captain Marvel Star Brie Larson Wants to Be Samus in a Metroid Movie

Ever since the first image of the character dropped, fans have been super-stoked about next year's Captain Marvel movie starring Brie Larson. The actress had already impressed fans with her acting chops in films like Room so fans were more than willing to give her a chance, though she wasn't everyone's first choice. Now that the first trailer has impressed fans, we can't wait to see her in action.

During Halloween, Larson dressed up as Samus from Metroid to everyone's shock and fans were really into it. On Twitter, a fan asked if this would be the closest thing we would ever get to a film based on the popular Nintendo franchise and Larson said she hoped not since she would love to star in a Metroid movie.

Larson looked pitch-perfect as Samus in her Zero suit so it would be awesome seeing her don the full garb we all know the character for. If her performance in Captain Marvel impresses the public, we could eventually see Larson as the popular Metroid character. This is assuming that Nintendo is willing to make a live-action film based on the incredible game series.

Metroid: Samus Returns for the 3DS was the most recent game in the series, which impressed critics with its great graphics and challenging gameplay. We also know that Metroid Prime 4 is coming to the Nintendo Switch in the near future, though no release date has been revealed. Here is hoping that a Metroid Prime remaster is coming to the console/handheld hybrid.

Captain Marvel comes to theaters this coming March.
